Disciplinary Policy of Sukun Islamic School

Sukun Islamic School is dedicated to cultivating a disciplined, respectful, and conducive learning environment. Adherence to the following guidelines is paramount for the academic, moral, and spiritual development of all students. Violations of these policies will result in disciplinary action

  1. Uniform Policy (Including Shoes, Socks, Tupi/Head Covering): All students are required to wear the complete and correct school uniform daily. This includes appropriate shoes, socks, and for male students, a tupi (prayer cap), and for female students, a head covering (hijab, niqab) in accordance with school guidelines. Uniforms must be clean, neat, and in good repair. Students are strongly encouraged to possess two sets of uniforms for regular use. Failure to wear the proper uniform, including all specified items (clothes, socks, shoes, tupi/hijab), will result in the forfeiture of attendance marks for that day. Attendance records, clearly indicating such instances with a ‘red mark,’ will be accessible via the EximusEdu App. Without proper uniform students won’t be allowed to do classes.
  2. Class Time Conduct and Attendance: Students are expected to be punctual for all classes and to maintain focus and attentiveness throughout the lesson. Any disruptive behavior or action that hinders the learning of others is strictly prohibited. Students must punch their ID cards before the commencement of their first class; failure to do so will result in the non-recording of attendance marks. Furthermore, if a student fails to bring their ID card, their attendance for that day cannot be officially recorded.
  3. Maintaining a good attendance marks: Attending the classes in-time is Must for every student. Class attendance has weightage of 10 marks which will be added with all the subjects of during two assessments (Fall, Spring). However, if any student failed to secure 75% attendance he/she won’t be allowed to sit for the assessment. If a student misses more than 35% classes, his/her admission will be cancelled. Attendance will only be counted if the students punch their ID card 5 minutes before of the class time.
  4. Entry & Coming Late in School: Students should come to Madrasa at least 5 mins before the class timing. Students who are late will be allowed to attend the class but won’t be given attendance marks. Students late by 30 mins will be considered as ‘absent’ and not be allowed to attend the class of that day.
  5. Leave: Guardians need to apply in written or via EximusEdu for any leave of absent describing the causes and must get due permission. Without any approved application, Class Teacher won’t provide study materials of absent days.
  6. Pick up: The child will only be given to the respective parents. If other person wants to pick up, then it should be pre-informed. Guardians have to pick up their child from the School gate. Student should be picked up within 30 mins from the time of the class ends. SIS authority reserves the right to keep any student after the class timing for completing his/her undone CW & HW with/without any prior notice.
  7. Guardian Entry Restrictions into Classrooms: For the safety and to minimize disruption to the learning environment, guardians are strictly prohibited from entering classrooms during school hours without prior authorization from the school administration. This restriction applies during drop-off, pick-up, and any other time. Should guardians attempt to enter classrooms before or during class time without prior approval, the associated student will be marked as absent for that period. This policy is rigorously enforced to safeguard instructional time and ensure student security.
  8. Missed Homework (HW) Verification: ­Homework is an integral component of the learning process and must be completed and submitted by the assigned deadline. Missed homework will no longer be verified by teachers after the designated due date. Additionally, if a particular homework assignment is due for submission during the first period, and a student arrives after the first period, that specific homework assignment will not be verified at a later time.
  9. Guardian Feeding During Break Time: Guardians are kindly requested to provide homemade food for their children. Students are responsible for bringing their own meals and water bottles. To maintain an organized and controlled environment during break times, guardians are not permitted to come to school to feed their children. This policy ensures student safety, promotes hygiene, and minimizes disruption within the classroom setting even during designated break periods. If you wish you can apply for monthly meal from the school.
  10. Engaging School Staff for Personal Errands: School staff members are dedicated to their primary responsibilities of teaching, administration, and student support. Guardians are strictly prohibited from asking or sending school staff to bring food, forgotten items, or run any other personal errands on their behalf. All items students require for the school day should be brought from home. This policy ensures staff can focus entirely on their duties and maintain the smooth operation of the school.
  11. Paying Tuition Fees on time: Must clear monthly Tuition Fees by 10th of each month. If guardians pay within 10th of the month will be automatically get 200 taka waiver. But, if they failed to pay within 15th of the month, student account on EximusEdu will be disabled and no class notes & class materials will be provided to their children. If failed to pay consecutive two months’ payments their admission will be cancelled.
  12. Respecting Teacher’s Personal Time: Our teachers dedicate themselves to educating and nurturing our students during school hours. To ensure they have adequate personal time for rest, preparation, and family, guardians are kindly requested not to disturb teachers after school hours, on weekends, or during holidays for school-related inquiries or discussions. Guardians shouldn’t call the teachers after the evening as they have to maintain their family time.
  13. Respecting Teacher or Staff: All the teachers and staffs of SIS are valuable member and dedicated to maintain a quality education for your child. So, it is expected from our guardians to respect our members.
  14. Following Islamic culture: Sukun Islamic School promotes Islamic culture among our students and guardian. So, we would like to request you to maintain Islamic environment in your home and help us to maintain in the campus. We are requesting female guardians to cover their head (If possible face also) as female guardian without covering her hair won’t be allowed in Sukun Campus. Islam is a complete deen. We would like to request you to practice Islam in every aspect of your life.
