A Word from the Director
Every guardian who walks through our gates carries the same quiet hope: that their child will grow into someone who loves Allah, who lives by His Book, and who makes them proud in this life and the next. That hope is not a burden to us — it is an honour.
We are grateful to the guardians who placed their trust in us, and we remain deeply committed to honouring it.
I often remind our staff, and myself, of one simple truth: education is not expensive — it is an investment for the future. Every hour spent memorising a surah, every lesson in adab, every quiet correction given with kindness — it is not a cost. It is capital laid up for a child's Akhirah, and for ours.

What We Are Truly Building
Aqeedah is the difference between a good Muslim and a bad Muslim. That is why we are committed to building a school upon the Aqeedah of the Salaf — to raise a generation of good Muslims.
Producing many Huffaz is not our concern. Our concern is to raise Du'aat — callers to Allah — who understand the Qur'an, who obey the command of Almighty Allah, who follow the path of Rasulullah ﷺ, and who are so confident in their Deen that nothing can shake their Aqeedah.
If we can raise even a handful of such Du'aat, in sha Allah, we can stand before Allah and say we did something for the sake of Islam.

The Story Behind Sukun
Every name carries a story. Ours carries a loss, and a promise.
Some years ago, we lost our beloved son — the bird of Jannah, Abdullah. Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rāji'ūn. We lost the light, but Allah, in His infinite mercy, opened a new journey through that very loss.
I lost my Abdullah. So Allah gave me a responsibility — to raise a thousand Abdullahs.
Sukun Islamic School is dedicated to his memory, and to every child who now walks through our doors carrying a piece of that promise.
'When a man dies, his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for him.'
What 'Sukun' Means
SIS was founded with a simple but powerful dream: to create a place where children feel Sukun — peace, safety and purpose — while receiving an education that prepares them for both this world and the Hereafter.

From Pharmacy to Purpose
Md. Mehedi Hassan did not begin his career in a classroom. He trained as a pharmacist, earning his B.Pharm from North South University, and spent years dispensing medicine and counselling patients.
But a deeper calling kept pulling at him — not to treat the body for a season, but to nurture a soul for a lifetime. In 2021, he made the decision to leave a settled and respected career behind, and to build, from nothing, a school rooted firmly in Aqeedah.
He researched curricula, visited schools, sought counsel from experienced educators, and — most importantly — sought Allah's guidance at every step. What began as a single dream has since grown into a community of children, teachers and guardians walking the same path together.
'And say, My Lord, increase me in knowledge.'

No institution built by human hands is free from error — and we do not pretend otherwise.
This is not a weakness we hide; it is a principle we hold onto, because muhasabah — honest self-accountability — is itself part of the Deen we are trying to instil in your children. What we ask of our students, we ask of ourselves first.
